Brocalo stores the information you enter to power your nutrition plan: your name (optional), age, gender, height, weight, activity level and goals, plus your food logs, meal photos, water intake, weight entries, and streaks.
You sign in with Google or Apple. We receive only your basic account details (name, email, profile picture) from the provider — never your password. Your data is stored in secure cloud storage tied to your account so it follows you across devices. Signing out removes data from the device; your account keeps it.
When you scan a meal, the photo is sent securely to our AI service to estimate nutrition. Scan photos are saved with your food log and synced to your account so you can see them on any device. Deleting a food log also deletes its photo from your account. Barcode scans and manual entries never include photos.
If you enable Health sync, Brocalo writes your logged nutrition, water, and weight to Apple Health and reads steps and active energy — all handled by Apple's HealthKit with your explicit permission. You can revoke access anytime in the Health app.
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data leaves your phone.
Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details.
We do not sell your personal data, share it with advertisers, or use your photos to identify you. There are no third-party ads in Brocalo.
You can delete individual logs (and their photos) in the app at any time. To delete your entire account and all synced data, email [email protected] and we will remove it.
